Q. What is a 10-10-XXX
number?
A. 10-10-XXX is a long
distance code that gives you the freedom to make a
long distance call at great rates, without having
to switch your long distance carrier! By
dialing 10-10-XXX before 1 and the number, your
phone company sends to the Acceris network and you
get the Acceris low rates.
Acceris sends the call billing information
to your phone company and the call will show up on
your regular local phone bill.
Q. How do I use a 10-10-XXX Code?
A.
Just dial 10-10-XXX then 1 + area code + phone
number for calls within the US and to Canada (and
all other countries that use an area code). For
international calls, dial 10-10-XXX then 011 +
country code + phone number.
Q. To use your service do I need to
switch long distance companies?
A. No, you can use
10-10-XXX without switching your long distance
company. Simply dial 10-10-XXX, then 1 + number
for calls within the US and to Canada. For
international calls, dial 10-10-XXX then country
code + phone number.
Q. Do I need to keep a long distance
carrier to use 10-10-XXX?
A.
Generally, you do not need a long distance carrier
to use 10-10-XXX. You should contact your local
phone company, however, to determine whether or
not you will be assessed a fee if you opt not to
subscribe to a long distance carrier.
Q. Are calling cards available?
A. No, 10-10-XXX is a long
distance access code for calls made from home.
Calling cards are not available.

Q. How will I be billed for
10-10-XXX calls?
A. If Acceris
Communications has a billing agreement with your
local carrier, charges for 10-10-XXX calls will
automatically appear on your local telephone bill
in a section labeled "WorldxChange".
Your local telephone bill will include the date,
time, number, city/ country called, length and
charge for each call, along with applicable taxes
and Federal Universal Service Fees. Acceris
Communications will bill you directly if we do not
have a billing agreement with your local carrier.
Q. What is the Federal
Universal Service Fee?
A. The 1996
Telecommunications Act requires all long distance
companies to contribute a portion of their
revenues to the Federal Universal Service Fund
which provides discounted telecommunications
services to schools, libraries and low income
consumers. Acceris Communications Federal
Universal Service Fee is a 10.5% charge on
state-to-state and international monthly long
distance charges, which is used to help contribute
to this fund. This charge will appear separately
on your bill.

Will I get charged for any un-answered
calls?
A. No.
10-10-XXX only charges for completed calls.
Q. Is 10-10-XXX available in
my area?
A. 10-10-XXX is available
in most areas of the U.S, excluding Alaska. You
can check availability in your area by dialing
10-10-XXX on your next long distance call.
If your call goes through, 10-10-XXX is available
in your area. If your call does not go through,
either 10-10-XXX is not available in your area or
there is a block affecting your phone line.

prevents you from using 10-10-XXX.
Q. Is 10-10-XXX available in for calls
initiated outside of the United States?
A. No. 10-10-XXX is
available only for calls initiated within the
continental U.S. and Hawaii.
Q. Can I use 10-10-XXX from any phone?
A.
10-10-XXX can be used from your home telephone,
some small business telephones and fax machines.
Unfortunately, it is not available from pay
phones, cell phones, hotel rooms, dormitories,
military bases or most businesses.
